What are you thankful for?

It has been a beautiful weekend in the Greater Toronto Area. Soaring high temperatures, beautiful colours, tons of food and lots of family time.

Turkey isn't a traditionally Italian-Canadian meal, so when we eat it, we do it well! Nothing beats my mom's original rice stuffing. It's unlike anyone else's and I could eat a whole turkey's worth of stuffing alone!

And as if I didn't have enough pie at the Chudleigh's Apple Pie Fest, this weekend did me in for real. Homemade apple and pumpkin pie with all the fixings and trimmings - you can't go wrong.

When I was a kid I remember going around the circle at school (while we were all sitting cross-legged) sharing what we were thankful for? What are you thankful for?

I'm thankful for my family. My parents, my husband, my sister, my puppy, my in-laws, my brother-in-law, all my aunts and cousins. I'm thankful for a wonderful group of friends. They've been with me through so much, and they are gold. I'm thankful for health. My health, and the health of those around me. I'm thankful for a roof over my head, a home that I can call my own and a life that I continue to build. I'm thankful for a budding career that I enjoy going to every day.

And I'm thankful for love.
