One of my Faves: Baby Magoo

There are 45 days left until Christmas - time to start your shopping stat! I love Christmas shopping, and take great pride in selecting a great gift for everyone on my list. That being said, everyone needs some new ideas right?

Over the next 6 weeks or so I'm going to be sharing my favourite gifts to give and receive. We may have a few contests or giveaways in there too. It's the season of giving, after all.

Here's my first pick for a great gift to give: Baby Magoo.

Baby Magoo is a wonderful, local (York Region) company that specializes in personalized blankets and gift items. I first met Kirsten Kontor - the owner - years and years ago when I started producing for Rogers TV. Over the years, I've probably ordered 15+ blankets for her -- at least 3-4 a year I'd say. It's no secret when you have a baby, you're probably going to get a Baby Magoo blanket from me. I love them. They are so so so soft and cuddly, they wash well and they are totally customizable with the baby's name. Plus, everyone loves them! Every time I buy one for a new mom or dad, they are thrilled and I still get compliments years later when the blanket has gone through its share of baby experiences.

I purchased one for a good friend of mine last November and she, in turn, bought one for me in February when I had my LO. Finally, my own Baby Magoo!

We love our Baby Magoo personalized blanket
We also have a few car seat blankets - which are made of the same quality materials - only smaller. They're the perfect size to cover a baby in their car seats without being too bulky or warm.

As I mentioned, everyone loves these blankets, including my husband. When Isabelle received her blanket, he commented, "I want one with my name on it!" So, I kept that in the back of my mind, and on Father's Day, rather than getting one with DONNY and a car on it, I opted for an adult-sized throw, and Kirsten customized it for me.

I love Daddy throw was a great gift for Father's Day
We love our throw. It's large enough for our entire family to cuddle underneath and super cozy. And I love the fact that it's personalized. We will always remember Daddy's First Father's Day and will have this blanket as a cool keepsake, too.

The orders usually take a few weeks to process, but take my word from it - these are great gifts. And not only are they made in Canada, they are made in Aurora. I love supporting local companies.

In honour of this blog post, the wonderful Kirsten is offering all SimplySuppa readers 25% off their order! Discount Code is SSUPPA.

And there you go! One (or many) more gift(s) off your list! And you didn't even have to go to the mall!

Cheers,
