Super Cool, Educational 4D Cards #holidaygiftguide #shoplocal

Attention parents and teachers everywhere. This next product will blow your mind. If you use flashcards with your students or children, it's time to kick them up a notch.
These are 4D+ Flashcards. 4D? Yes. 4D. I first met Emmy, one of the distributors of the cards, at the BabyTime Show this fall. She was demo'ing her product and Isabelle was mesmerized. On the surface they look like any other flash card; there's a letter on the front, and a corresponding occupation or animal (or planet), on the back. BUT, download the free app and watch these cards come to life.

The cards come in three different themes: animals, occupations and space and retail for about $20 online. But there are so many different ways to use them. If you don't have the app, they are a standard card, obviously. Simply used, you put the card under the camera and watch the card magically develop. You can also learn more about each and every creature, occupation or planet through the detailed app. AND, if that wasn't enough, you can even download additional elements, like food for the animals, and watch them munch and graze.

Take a look for yourself:

I think the 4D+ Flash Cards would make an excellent gift for a child, a teacher or a classroom gift as well. They can be used again and again for hours of fun and education.

Isabelle is absolutely enthralled with these cards, and as you can see, she can use them herself quite easily. You do need a phone with a camera (or a tablet) to operate the cards. But once you download the app, it's easy to navigate, and as suspected, kids figure them out really quickly.

I'm not a teacher, but I do come from a family of educators, and I know these cards would be great for pre-schoolers through to the junior grades. You've got an encyclopedia of knowledge in one tiny deck, and it's portable, too. If you want to get even more interactive, project the cards onto a smart board or a smart TV and have the animals appear right in your family room. (We've tried this and it's amazing! So lifelike.) Even my parents were amazed.
