Red Pants this Christmas?

Ok moms - how many of you have a hard time finding pants that fit you well? I generally HATE shopping for pants - firstly, I'm petite, so everything needs to be shortened or altered or adjusted in some way. My hips are bigger than my waist (which is very common, right girls?) so I sometimes get the awkward buckle thingy at my butt. Not cool. And then there's the rise issue -- I can't rock the low rise like I used to. I want a pair of pants that is comfortable and flattering, and makes me look and feel good. No short order, that's for sure.

When Lisette-L approached me to try their Flaterie Fit Pants that Oprah Winfrey herself wore and enjoyed, I was gung-ho. After trying on what I imagine would be a plethora of clothes, O chose a pair of Lisette-L Flaterie Fit Pants in red for the cover of her October magazine. Apparently, she took them with her after the shoot, too.

Lisette-L is a Quebec-based company founded by Lisette Limoges and her husband, Neil Small. After representing various fashion brands and hearing women's requests for a pant that would "fit", (much like my rant above) they decided to make it happen. The pants are made in Canada and distributed internationally.

I was skeptical at first because I ordered my pants online without trying them on -- something I've never really done. So, I followed the size chart and crossed my fingers. To my surprise, they fit perfectly. Like, PERFECTLY. I didn't need to adjust the length, the back, the legs - nada. I tried the exact same pants Oprah loved - the So Slim Ankle Pant in Red. They are a vibrant, beautiful ruby colour, with a perfect amount of stretch and sheen. They are professional-looking, yet fun, too. Easy to wear at work, go out for dinner and even take care of a toddler.

I've had the pants for about a month now and have worn them every single week. I've washed and dried them and they look just as good as they did when they came out of the box. They don't require ironing or steaming, haven't lost their colour and haven't shrunken one bit. I've already worn them on-air a handful of times and even in my 2013 family Christmas photo shoot.

I can't express how much I love these pants -- and if you have a hard time shopping for that perfect fit, I think you may love these ones too. My next step is to get a few different styles and a few different colours, that way, I can wear them every single day!

So, if you're looking for an unconventional gift to get someone on your list, or heck, you want to buy yourself something you'll LOVE, try a pair of Lisette-L pants. If Oprah was still on the air, I bet these would be one of her "Favourite Things"; they're on my list, that's for sure.
