Family PJ Party!

I'm a proud Canadian. Ask anyone I know -- while I greatly value my heritage and culture, I love the country I call home. And such, whenever possible, I try to support Canadian companies and businesses. I first learned about Hatley on a jaunt to Niagara-on-the-Lake, where they have a store.

For those of you who have never heard of Hatley, they make the sweetest pyjamas, aprons, gifts and accessories you've ever seen. They, too, are proudly Canadian and their designs are definitely Canadiana - complete with grizzly bears, moose and plaid prints.

Hatley is named after North Hatley, a small village in Quebec, home to less than 800 people. The business was formed two decades ago when John Oldland took his wife Alice's paintings and turned them into aprons to sell in their gift shop. When the aprons continued to sell out, they continued to add products and animals to the Hatley collection. Today, their three sons run the business and Hatley clothing and gift items are available around the world.

I wanted to start a new family tradition this year, and that was pyjamas. So, every year, we will get a set of new pyjamas to wear on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (and through the year, of course).

Hatley doesn't just make holiday pjs, though. They make seasonal favourites, as well as every day classics, and sizes vary from infant to Mens XXL. Loungewear, daywear, beachwear - Hatley makes wonderful, casual, carefree clothing. (It doesn't all have moose on it, either!)

But since we're talking holidays.....another favourite of mine are the amazing boxers Hatley makes, like these ones below. (Isabelle's PJs actually have the same saying on the butt!)

Or the onesies available in all different designs and all different sizes. These ones say "A Little Bear Bum". Brilliant! (I love the adult onesies -- maybe that'll be next year's PJ!)

And of course, their famous aprons.

Hatley makes gifts for many people on your list, and at varying price points. And the good news is, you don't have to go all the way to Niagara-on-the-Lake to pick them up! (Although it's one of my favourite places) Hatley is sold all over the GTA and even has a store at Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket. Ordering online is also really easy and convenient.

Does your family wear Christmas pyjamas?

Disclosure: I received pyjamas to try in order to write this post. As always, all opinions expressed remain my own.
