Hump Day with Hasbro Games

As you've probably heard me say before, I like games. Board games, trivia games, strategy games, guessing games. When I was thinking back to all my holiday traditions with my amazing cousins, I failed to mention that at nearly every family gathering, we play a game.

We are an uber competitive bunch and the whole family gets into it. We could spend hours playing games, and we have.

Hasbro has hundreds of games in their vault for kids, teens and adults. I've picked a few out that I think would be great gifts this holiday (or any other upcoming event):

The Game of Scattergories: I actually don't have this game, and don't know why. We play it EVERY SINGLE year at Christmas with my cousins, aunts and uncles. You can play in teams or individually - and you have 3 minutes to answer a variety of clues with a secret letter. The key is to be unique; if you come up with answers that no one else has, you get a point! I swear, this game never gets old. Gotta put it on my game list!
Electronic Catch Phrase: I recently played a game of Catch Phrase (Electronic) and LOVED it. Firstly, there's nothing to set up, no little pieces and it's completely portable. You choose a category and have to guess the answer to the clue read to you by your partner. Then, you pass the unit over to the other team - and fast! You don't want the time to end!

Taboo: Similar to Catch Phrase, Taboo is amazing. Get your team members to guess the feature word without saying a variety of key, associated words. It's unspeakable fun! It's quite challenging, and can have you howling with laughter. I've had Taboo in my collection for years, and it's another favourite with the adults!

Draw Something Party: Think Pictionary on an electronic board. You draw on one side, and your partner guesses from the reverse side! You get to choose if you're going to draw the easiest or most difficult image -- you choose your challenge! This is a great game for people of all ages. Take turn drawing and have fun!

Cranium: Cranium is another one of my all-time favourites. We're an artistic bunch in my family, and this game is the perfect balance of word game, drama and music and trivia.

Trivial Pursuit Party: If you're just starting your game collection, Trivial Pursuit Classic is a must. Trivial Pursuit Party is a new evolution to the game, and allows you to pick up "pieces of the pie" at any spot on the board. This means the game goes a bit quicker, which is always a good thing!

Ok so that was more than a few...but I LOVE games!! Hope this gives you some suggestions for your home game collection. And here's a neat idea: if you're doing a Secret Santa this year, why not make it a Secret Santa Game Gift and everyone can get a great gift to take home! And then you can make a Game Night out of it! So awesome!

Disclosure: I received a complimentary "Draw Something Party" in order to write this post. All opinions expressed are my own.
