Relax with RMT at Sanctuary #contest #rmt

About a month ago, I ventured back to work after a year of maternity leave. For some, it would have been terrible, but for me, it wasn't too bad. I'm very fortunate to have a great support network and awesome colleagues and bosses who make me feel comfortable. They made the transition very smooth.

That said, it got busy very quickly. Before I knew it, I was immersed in large projects again, Thanksgiving had past, and today, we had our first snowfall. When you have two working parents, it's important to find time to spend as a family -- whether it's at local events, taking a walk, or just staying home and playing. We have aimed to do something as a family at least once every week. It's also really important to find time to yourself and relax.

There are a few ways I do that: I love to curl on the couch and watch a good romcom, adult colouring really allows me to clear my mind, and of course, going to get a massage. I sometimes find it a challenge to make the time to get out and GET a massage, but when I do, it's SO worth it. x1000

I get my regular spa treatments done at Sanctuary Day Spas in Vaughan. I've been a loyal customer since they opened years ago. Since then, they have expanded to two separate buildings, and specialize in everything from facials and RMT, to manicures, pedicures, laser therapy, chiropractic care and more. The location is very convenient for me living in Woodbridge, but easily accessible if you're coming from Thornhill, Richmond Hill, or even Toronto. Minutes off the highway.

When you're getting a massage at Sanctuary, you visit the new Health & Wellness Building, which faces Rutherford Road. (The original building faces Creditstone Rd)

There, you will find a beautiful new lounge, and many service rooms for your care. I like to chat with my massage therapist before the treatment begins. I indicate where I need special attention, and make mention of any past ailments or injuries.

Then, as Elsa would say, it's time to let it go. You NEED to relax in a massage so the therapist can work properly. If you're tense and nervous, it won't be as enjoyable. I've learned to close my eyes and just chill. I don't speak a lot, but I am vocal about the strength of the pressure.

I've been treated by many different therapists in the past (male and female) and have never felt uncomfortable. They are true professionals. And maybe magicians, too. What they can do in an hour is truly outstanding.

Following your treatment, make sure you drink lots of water, have a hot bath or shower and talk to your therapist about potential follow-ups.

Simply Suppa is giving away a 60 minute RMT massage to one lucky reader. All you need to do is fill out the Rafflecopter below and you may be the lucky recipient of a whole hour of uninterrupted, blissful, relaxing, 'me' time.

Which reminds me...I think I'm due for another.

 Good Luck!
