Last week, I posted about our new front entrance and how the front of your home creates an impression for visitors and neighbours. In addition to the planters, and the plants and the paint, I'm going to suggest investing in a beautiful Welcome mat, to place at your front door.
I purchased one of those rubber swirly mats YEARS ago, and well, it kind of stayed there, like a relic. It was a bit sketchy and not very nice at all. If that was the first impression we gave, well, it was pretty embarrassing.
A few months ago, I e-met Vaughan local entrepreneur Lovia & Co, who makes custom entrance mats. Each mat is hand-painted, thick and sturdy. Creating a design is easy; you worth through the style together, and sign off before it gets painted. In terms of maintenance, spot cleaning is recommended to extend the life of the mat.
But, you can design just about anything you want:
I also personally loved a design that said "HIDE PACKAGES FROM HUSBAND", but I thought that might actually happen and then I'd be wondering where all my stuff was. LOL.
