I took a couple days

The lead up to the holidays is a crazy, super-busy time for me. And this year took the cake. With a new business, and new projects and new opportunities on top of the regular frazzle that is our life, I felt a bit frenetic, that I could unravel at any moment.

So I took a couple days to do a lot of nothing. Lounging around in PJs, watching a few movies, working very little and aimlessly running errands without a plan for the next hour, let alone the next day.

And while I have enjoyed the family time and staying up late and sleeping in, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't itching to start moving and doing things. We hear a lot of people talk about balance: work-life balance, family-life balance, food balances. Call me crazy, but to me, balance is boring. I like the go-go-go as much as I like the quiet, and when I feel like I've had enough of one, I move to the other. That's my balance.

So if you've wondered where I've been these last few days, I was chilling out a bit so I could prepare myself for the next big project, event or whatever. (And I've had a nasty cold, which happens to me every time I slow down!). Let's end off 2018 in a great way -- however you feel your best.

Also, sidenote and completely unsponsored: Donny bought me this most glorious robe/house-coat/lounge coat from All You Are, designed by Kena Paranjape, who also co-founded BRIKA. If you're going to do a whole lotta nothing, you should do it in this robe.
