This one's for the Gals

Today is Gal-entine's Day: a day to celebrate all the beautiful fellow girls and women in your life who you love.

I wouldn't be here without the love and support of so many gals in my life, starting from my mom and sister, my daughters, my best friend, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, cousins and friends.

And, in the past few years, I've developed many friendships and business relationships with some extraordinary female powerhouse entrepreneurs who not only empower me, but make me a better fellow gal. I thank you all, and I love you.

I think we have a responsibility-- as gals -- to do all of these things: to support, to empower, to engage, to challenge, to comfort and to love. And as a girl-mom in 2020, I think I have an even bigger responsibility to teach my girls how to navigate in this world, how to be kind but assertive, fair but fun-loving and how to help others in need, not because they have to, but because it makes them better individuals.

And as this proud girl-mom, I also wanted an event that not only supports (pardon the pun) but uplifts and brings joy to many women and families.

It's the Rethink Breast Cancer's 5th annual Boobyball Mini, designed for kids 2+. It's happening Sunday, March 1 from 2-5 pm, at Berkeley Church in Toronto. This year's theme is RAD SCIENCE! Who cool is that?!

At Boobyball Mini, kids will be entertained by live science demos and interactive play, while parents can mingle and enjoy a complimentary bar and snacks.

And the best part? All proceeds from this event will go directly to Rethink Breast Cancer’s mission to empower young people worldwide who are concerned about and affected by breast cancer including resources for families dealing with cancer. Here, here.

I am so honoured to be partnering with Rethink to give away an adult and child ticket to Boobyball Mini! To enter the contest, share this post with your fave gals and tag them in the comments below.

Hope to see you on March 1!
