Garlic Parm Pizza Knots

I love a faux-fancy dish -- you know, the ones that look like you've put in tons of effort, but are in fact, so easy!?

So, here's the story: I had pizza dough in the fridge but didn't want pizza -- so I whipped up these deeeeeliicious Garlic Parm Pizza Knots using store-bought Pizza Dough.

I most certainly didn't invent this -- but I searched a few recipes and then made it my own. And had I known you wanted the recipe, I would have done a video.

Oh well.

Here's what I did:

  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Roll out pizza dough and cut into strips (I got 12).
  3. Wrap the strip around your hand and make a knot.
  4. Place knots onto a parchment-lined tray and gently brush with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt.
  5. Bake for 12-15 min or until lightly golden.
  6. Meanwhile, heat olive oil and butter in a pan. I didn't measure, but about 3 swirls in a big pan. And a chunk of butter -- a couple tbsps.
  7. Add 3-4 cloves of minced garlic to low heat. DO NOT LET GARLIC BROWN. We're just looking for aroma here.
  8. Add oregano.
  9. As the EVOO/butter mix starts to simmer, shut off the heat.
  10. When the knots are done baking, place them into the pan, ensuring all sides are coated.
  11. Sprinkle with real Parmeggiano Reggiano.
  12. Enjoy!

What's your fave thing to do with pizza dough -- other than make pizza!?
