Bronze Yourself Up!

While I love to melt away in the sun, I do know better - and anyone who knows me, knows I always wear a moisturizer with an SPF, use an SPF of at least 30 when I'm on vacay, and am totally against fake tanning. I've never done it and never will. Don't get me started on the "I'm getting a base tan" discussion.

All of this doesn't mean I don't like to look golden and bronzed, though! Finding a sunless tanner is no easy feat - firstly, the stench is enough to drive you (and your husband/boyfriend/live-in) mad, and if you miss a spot, you end up looking like a streaky mess. And of course, there's always the danger of over-tanning, leaving you tangerine-like and looking ridiculous.

I've tried many products on the market; some claim to be express tanners, others use a bit of tanning lotion within your regular body lotion. I've even tried one that actually makes your legs and arms sparkle. I'm now a fan of a new product and I'm letting everyone know. It's Clarins' Delectable Self-Tanning Mousse SPF 15.

Well, just the name sounds appetizing, and if you've ever used Clarins products before, you know they are quality goods. This particular product is infused with Mirabelle Oil, Aloe, Vitamin E, Safflower and Konjac root sugar, in addition to the self-tanning ingredients used to make your skin glow. On top of everything else, it also boasts an SPF 15, which is good, even in the winter time.

The mousse is silky and soft and feels really nice on your skin. It dries fairly quickly and the stench factor is definitely less than other self-tanning products. You still have to be wary of tan-sensitive areas: eyebrows, hairline, fingers, nails, elbows, knees and toes. Make sure you apply evenly and blend in completely. Of course, don't forget to wash your hands!

Happy "Self" Tanning!
