You Can Totally Do This cause "Everything is Figureoutable"

When I attend a conference, I hope for a few things: I hope to learn something I didn't already know, I hope to meet some new people and develop relationships, and I hope to be inspired.

To take the inspiration a step further, I hope to be kicked in the butt. To convince myself that I'm good enough, smart enough, skilled enough. And to make a plan to do something about it. And that's how I feel after a few days at Blissdom Canada.

As many of my readers know by now, I've entered into an unknown "zone" in my career, my life. For a "planner", this feeling is pretty unsettling, but one I've gotten a bit used to! I can't even tell you how many times I've said to myself: "WTF am I doing!?"

This weekend, I learned I wasn't alone. In fact, almost every speaker (all currently totally amazing and successful bloggers/YouTubers/content creators) got up to tell us they often didn't/don't know what they're doing.
They throw something against the wall and see what sticks.
They learn as they go.
They google. And YouTube.
They self-teach and try something they've never done.

And they're better because of it. They took risks and are still reaping the rewards.

One of the speakers today -- kick-ass stepmom and blogger Jamie Scrimgeour -- read a quote from motivational speaker Marie Forleo: "Everything is Figureoutable."

And that stuck with me.

On one hand, the planner in me is in hives. I don't even like to do improv, let alone with my life. But I'm also roused to do it myself: to try something I never have done, to take a risk, to believe in myself.

To figure it out.

So I thank you in advance for your support as I experiment here a bit, and see what sticks.
